For those who are unfamiliar with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), allow me to explain briefly what the Royal Rumble is. It’s a wrestling match where several fighters take to the ring over a period of time. They battle it out looking to defeat opposing fighters. Several fights take place simultaneously in the same ring with a fighter likely to take on multiple opponents as well during the process.
The more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve likened attempting to manage different aspects of a country’s economy to some aspects of a Royal Rumble event.
Why? Well because there are many variables at play in the economy and sometimes it’s as though the variables are fighting each other!
